Cheers, was crazy. They threw all of their stuff at the crowd. I walked out of the gig and saw a semi-naked lady playing their snare-drum. I could hear their bass drum up the street. These bands have a different energy. It pays to have older friends with better ears. I saw 'At The Drive In' the night before too. That was the starter. Rocket From The Crypt were the main & fuck me, what a dessert these were. Hats off to Tim Barlow for introducing me to such things. 2001 had a MAD Angst and energy. There were probably 10 bands that were constantly Ballistic. I saw the Foo Fighters fairly early on at the Royal Court in Liverpool as The Colour & The Shape broke which fuelled these Hyper-Mentalists. ;)

Im on a PJ Harvey binge. Going through all the concerts and interviews. Im seeing her live in September. But man as a 24 year old i often wish i grew up in the 90’s just to have a conversation with this polly at this stage. She seems so funny and self aware. Not at all stuck up, but sweet and smart. Still is from what ive seen of her today. 1:31 was hilarious! The giggle and her reaction 😂 my kinda humor.
